How long have you been with Future Quest?
I’ve been with Future Quest since April 2021 but I’ve been at the University for 5 years working within the Recruitment and Outreach department on the Children's University Project and worked closely with Future Quest in that time.
What does your current role within Future Quest involve?
I account manage several secondary schools and coordinate the Future Quest primary project and Children's University. I love going into the schools to meet the students and delivery exciting workshops and sessions.
What is your background/history before Future Quest?
I grew up in Gloucester. I moved to Bristol for college and have never left. I have done lots of travelling, I have worked abroad in Spain and Australia. In the past I have worked in education settings and in sales before i joined the university.
Why did you join Future Quest?
I love outreach, I love the buzz it gives me working with the young people. I have a passion for helping others follow their dreams and have always wanted to be part of the Future Quest team as they are all so friendly and warm so as soon as an opportunity came up in FQ I applied.
What do you like most about working at Future Quest?
I really enjoy building relationships with the schools and seeing the difference it can make to the young people.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I love travel and especially enjoy breaks in my campervan with my family. I love heights and thrill rides, I have skydived a few times and parascending. I am part of a women's circle and I go to Bingo each week. I am a regular cinema goer and sometimes have gone twice a week.
What is your favourite TV series/film?
Four in a Bed on TV. The Voice on TV and favourite film at the moment is Marry Me.
What is an interesting fact about yourself?
I have once, on TV, confessed my love for Olly Murs.
What is your favourite place in Bristol?
St Nicks market, I love going there on a Saturday lunchtime for food and watching the world go by.
What advice would you give your younger self about being a student/your career?
Always try things out. Don't regret what you have done only regret what you haven't.
