    NOW OR NEVER

We’re inviting students to get involved with Bristol’s first, young person led art and design studio.

Creative in every way, Now or Never provides a multi-disciplinary space to work collaboratively on projects based on the themes that matter to them, all wrapped up in a flexible, visible and sustainable support model. So far projects have focused on consumerism, Identity and Imagining New Futures.

It’s a real opportunity for students to find their way into the growing and diverse network of artists and designers.

Our 2018-19 students created ‘A Revolution of Discomfort’ which will be shown in Arnolfini Match 2019, you can find out more here.

    Sharp Shotz

This issue-based animation competition runs in collaboration with IDEAL, UWE Bristol and Aardman Animation and continues to evolve and grow.

Through a yearlong series of learning opportunities, and working in partnership with UWE Bristol, industry professionals and companies like the BBC, students will produce and deliver two campaigns that raise awareness of the issues affecting young people.

The central elements of each campaign will be:

    • A short mixed media film using animation and documentary footage.
    • A campaign song.
    • An event that brings the campaign to an end and involves presenting the case to relevant individuals and organisations that can bring change to the issue concerned.
    • If you’re interested and want to find out more please email Future.Quest@uwe.ac.uk
  • The Sports Project

Sport is an excellent way to develop self-esteem and confidence. Along with helping young people understand the importance of teamwork, overcoming adversity, dealing with success and failure, and the values of practice and preparation, as well as being a popular career route.

Led by South Gloucestershire and Stroud College, our programme focuses on the development of skills and competencies needed for a career in sport, with taster and employer engagement activities built in.

The Future Quest sports project will run on Thursday afternoons between 13:00 and 15:00 at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College for a maximum of 40 students.
