Step-Up to A-Levels, a study skills day for the Cotswold Edge Sixth Form took place in September at UWE Bristol. 117 students from Chipping Sodbury School, Brimsham Green School and Yate Academy benefitted from a series of interactive workshops preparing them for further and higher education. The workshops focused on resilience, aspirations, goal-setting, time management, independent learning and notetaking.
Future Quest is also working with the UWE Library Service to offer school and college students a visit to one of the UWE libraries on either the Frenchay, Glenside or City campus (Bower Ashton Studios site) to learn about different research skills and to use the resources to help students with their Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). There is also the opportunity to include a campus tour and/or a Q&A session with UWE Bristol students.
If you are a Future Quest school or college and are interested in having a library visit or receiving support with study skills, please email Future.Quest@uwe.ac.uk.
