Future Quest Wins University Alliance Award

08 Jun 2020

We are delighted to announce that our online delivery programme has been recognised by the University Alliance Group in their 2020 Alliance Awards.

The awards were established to recognise those individuals and teams that have demonstrated the behaviours and values that the collective of universities believe are most important. The Future Quest team was recognised as being a team who have demonstrated great collaborative working, with particular focus on the hard work undertaken whilst creating an online programme for the first time in the current situation.

Suzanne Carrie, Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity at UWE Bristol and project lead for Future Quest said:

“I am delighted that the Alliance Group has recognised the hard work and dedication of the Future Quest team. They rose to the challenge of changing our model of delivery from physical workshops to an online progressive programme as soon as lockdown began and have worked across organisational boundaries to create a truly unique programme. Their dedication, creativity and focus have always been evident and in these challenging times they have focused on working collaboratively and the programme they designed together is stronger for it.”

Our online delivery programme, called “My Future Quest”, is a programme of activities that are available to all secondary school students. It aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills that they may need for their future. Each week we have had a new theme of activities that focuses on supporting student’s progression. The themes so far have been:

  • Building Your Skills
  • Discovering HE
  • Character Strengths & Wellbeing
  • Exploring Career Pathways
  • Planning Your Next Steps
