This workshop introduces students to the concept of resilience, the steps to take in dealing with a stressful situation, how to approach failure and the four themes of 'feel good': Relax, Eat Well, Get Active, Try Something New as a way of building resilience.
In the first part of the workshop, students are introduced to resilience by exploring images and words associated with being resilient and then by reflecting on how they may already demonstrate signs of resilience. The workshop then outlines the steps to take in using resilience to deal with a stressful situation, which are then applied to a discussion of a case study around failure where empathy is encouraged.
The second part of the workshop introduces students to the ‘feel good’ themes of Relax, Eat Well, Get Active and Try Something New as a way of building resilience. Students work in groups to match healthy behaviour cards to the four themes. The workshop rounds up with a short summary quiz and students will have the opportunity to set their own intentions of healthy behaviour by completing a 'feel good' postcard that they can keep.Contact us to book
