ADVICE AND SUPPORT FOR YOU TO GUIDE YOUR STUDENTS

Choosing a direction after finishing school can be exciting and a new adventure. It can also be daunting for young people. There are lots of options, but lots of advice and guidance out there too.

  • UCAS

    UCAS has a wealth of information and options. There’s information on how to choose and apply for university courses and finance. There’s also information on apprenticeships, routes into employment, internships and taking a gap year.

  • Student Finance

    Student Finance England provide guidance on the cost of HE, applying for a student loan or thinking about budgeting.

    There’s information on how to apply for student finance and what, when and how to repay loans in these short videos:

     

     

    There’s even a useful calculator to help young people work out how much money they’d have if they went to university.

  • Careerpilot

    Careerpilot is an online hub for information and advice on going into HE, whether through university, apprenticeship or employment.

    Young people can create a profile, map their skills, compare jobs and career routes.

    Careerpilot has excellent connections with education providers in Bristol and across the South West.

  • RIFE Guide

    The RIFE Guide is a great place to go for support and advice, to find out what’s on and to meet other young people.

  • Which? University

    This dedicated Which? University site details all universities, courses and student survey results, so young people can compare courses and make the right choice.

  • The Complete University Guide

    The Complete University Guide offers independent advice on all aspects of university life, study and careers.
